Colossians 3v20-25

The Sufficiency Of Christ For Our Service To Others

In these verses of Colossians 3, the Apostle Paul explains the command of children to submit to their parents, a command that is not age-related. He goes on to instruct fathers to encourage their children and not to provoke them to discouragement. Employees, are to submit to their employers and to do so fearing the Lord. Nathan Tarrant explains how all of these positions, whether as a wife, a husband, a father, an employee or an employer, should be carried out with Christ as our motivation. In all that we do in service submission and obedience, Christ comes first, and He alone is the reason why we submit to those in authority over us.
