In Colossians 3:18-19 the ApostlePaul gives the command for wives to submit to their husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. And for Husbands to love their wives and not be harsh with them. Nathan Tarrant explains what it means for a wife to submit as is fitting in the Lord, that Christ is first, and a wife is obligated to the Lord first, submitting to her husband out of love for Christ. Because the Husband leads his with the love of Christ, seeking to see how he can serve her and make sacrifices for her, sanctifying his wife, as Christ does with the church.
