Make No Covenant With Them

In this sermon from the series, Christ in the Old testament, Alan Clark guides us through Israel’s failure to drive out the inhabitants of the land, as commanded by God. At the beginning of Judges 2, we see the angel of the Lord, which is the pre-incarnate Christ,  come to Israel and tell them of the consequences of disobeying Him, that due to Israel making covenants with the other inhabitants, they will now become a snare, a thorn in the side of Israel. This is a warning to us today, both individually and as a church, that we should not make covenants with that outside of the body of Christ.
