John 1v46-48
Come and Truly See Part 1
In the first of two sermons, Nathan Tarrant addresses the instruction that Philip said to Nathanael when he questioned if anything good ever came out of Nazareth? which was a simple come and see. This is not just a guide for us in how we give the gospel, but a call to all saved in the sanctifying of our lives. Whatever we are dealing with come and see Christ. When Nathanael approached the Lord, Jesus commented, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!” When we approach the Lord, is that what he would say about us, that there is no deceit in us? This is a question we must all ask ourselves in our sanctification, for the Lord knows everything about us, so we may as well be open and truthful with him, receiving His compassion and love when we do.
