Peace In The Midst of Tribulation
In John 16:29-33, Jesus prepares His disciples for the coming tribulation, exposing their overconfidence, foretelling their failure, yet ultimately offering them unshakable peace. Though they will soon scatter in fear, their security does not rest in their own strength but in Christ’s triumph. In this passage, Jesus assures them—and us—that tribulation in this world is inevitable, but His victory is certain. Through His death and resurrection, He has overcome sin, Satan, and the world, securing peace for all who trust in Him. This message calls believers to rest, not in their own ability to stand firm, but in the One who has already conquered on their behalf. “Take heart; I have overcome the world.”
