John 16v1-7

Comforting Sinners Through Sorrow

In this message from John 16:1-7, we continue the series “A Window on the Heart of Christ for Sinners.” As Jesus prepares His disciples for the sorrow of His departure and the persecution they will face, He reveals His deep love and care for them. He forewarns them of the trials ahead, not to discourage but to strengthen their faith, and He offers them the comforting promise of the Holy Spirit—the Helper who will sustain and empower them. Through this passage, we are reminded that Christ’s heart is tender toward His people in their sorrow. Though we face trials in this life, we are never alone. The Spirit applies the finished work of Christ to us, transforming sorrow into hope and giving us the strength to endure with joy.
