In Exodus 33:12-23, we see Moses’ interaction with God, seeking to see the glory of God. Alan Clark explains that this interaction that Moses has, is with the second person of the Trinity, the Lord Jesus Christ. At the same time, the people of Israel were at the bottom of Mount Sinai, worshipping a false god, yet as Alan Clark explains, they associated the false god with the one true God. And so the question for us is, are we at the bottom of Sinai worshipping a god of our own making, or are we at the top seeking the glory of God in our lives?
