Coming To Know The Unknowable
In these verses, the Apostle Paul prays that believers would be *rooted and grounded in love*, growing ever deeper in their understanding of Christ’s love. Though this love surpasses knowledge, Paul desires that we would still come to grasp its breadth, length, height, and depth. This is not merely intellectual knowledge, but a personal, spiritual knowing that transforms the heart. To know Christ’s love is to be filled with the fullness of God—something only possible through the work of the Spirit in the inner being. It is a rich paradox: the unknowable love of Christ can be truly known, because He makes it known to those He dwells in.
