The Attributes of God – Mercy

Often people get mercy and grace confused – this is because there is similarity in their meanings, however they are not the same

Mercy is God not punishing us as our sins deserve, and grace is God blessing us despite the fact that we do not deserve it. Mercy is deliverance from judgement. Grace is extending kindness to the unworthy.

So we can define mercy as such: God’s mercy means that God shows goodness towards those who are in misery and or distress
