Breakfast with the Risen Lord
In this sermon on John 21:9–14, we consider the tender scene of “Breakfast with the Risen Lord,” where Jesus meets His weary disciples by the sea with provision, grace, and fellowship. Far from being distant after His resurrection, Christ is shown as the gracious Lord who prepares for His people before they ask, gently restores those who have failed, and welcomes them into communion with Himself. This message highlights both the tenderness and majesty of the risen Christ, showing that He not only commissions His church, but also sustains, feeds, and keeps His people in resurrection grace.
