The King of The Jews Lifted
In John 19:17–18, we follow the King as He goes out bearing His own cross, the willing Redeemer carrying the curse of His people. At Golgotha, the sinless One is numbered among transgressors, fulfilling the words of Isaiah and revealing the heart of substitutionary grace. The path of shame becomes the road of salvation; the burden of the cross becomes the banner of His love. Here, the Second Adam bears the curse that the first brought, turning death’s hill into the ground of redemption.
