In this bible study series, we look at the book of Deuteronomy. The name “Deuteronomy” comes from the Greek word for “second law,”.
The book of Deuteronomy is the fifth book of the Bible. It is a record of Moses’ final instructions to the Israelites before they enter the Promised Land. In these last words, Moses reviews the events of the past forty years and reiterates the laws that God has given them. He also challenges them to be faithful to God in the future. Deuteronomy is a significant book because it provides insight into God’s character and his relationship with his people. It also reminds us that obedience is essential to living a blessed life. We can learn much from Moses’ example as he faithfully led the Israelites through many challenges. As we read Deuteronomy, we are challenged to trust in God and obey his commands.
In this bible study series, we look at not just the past, but also how the instructions and commands of Deuteronomy are relevant to us today in our walk with Jesus Christ.
