I Have Seen The Lord
In John 20:11–18 we move from the empty tomb to a deeply personal encounter with the risen Christ. Mary stands weeping, loving the Lord yet misunderstanding what God has done, until the Shepherd speaks her name and turns sorrow into worship. This sermon explores how Christ reveals Himself not by sight, but by His powerful Word, how He redirects earthly attachment toward heavenly communion through His ascension, and how resurrection grace transforms mourners into bold witnesses. At its heart, this passage shows the character of the risen Saviour. He draws near to the broken, secures His people by His finished work, and sends them out with the unshakable confession, “I have seen the Lord.”
