the Wonderful Gift of Grace
In Ephesians 4:7–10 we are reminded that the risen and ascended Christ has poured out His grace upon His people in a marvellous way. Paul speaks of a grace that is not generic, but given to each believer according to the measure of Christ’s gift. The One who descended into the depths of humiliation for our salvation is the very One who has ascended far above all heavens, and from His exalted throne He bestows gifts on His church. In this message, Alan Clark explains how these gifts are tokens of Christ’s victory, evidence that He has triumphed over sin, death, and the grave, and now supplies His body with everything necessary for growth and maturity. This passage magnifies the generosity of Christ—grace not only to save, but also to equip and build up His people for His glory.
